The Napoleon III bridge

3D Modeling

The modeling of the bridge Napoleon III (Brest) is the work I did during my 2-month internship in the European Center of Virtual Reality, supervised by Frédéric Devillers, on the 3D software Blender. It is a historical monument which was destroyed at the end of the Second World War, so I had to find some references of what he looked like, especially relating to the textures and the architecture, by way of archive pictures and sectional plans of the bridge.
That was for me the opportunity to discover Blender and the world of Virtual Reality because the bridge, once finished, has a vocation for being strided across in VR. Then I had the chance, at the end of my internship, to wander on the result of 2 months of work!
